We had another beautiful dog join the play group today. Morgan was on her way to Winnipeg and stopped in for some fun before the long car ride. Her and Ellie May played all morning so she should be nice and tired for the drive.

Frisbee Fun
Yesterday, Chester was obsessed with the Frisbee. He carried it around and asked dogs to play tug by shoving it in their face. When they agreed, he would tug for as long as they wanted. Once the other dog tired of the game (it was never Chester who ended it), he would just go and ask another dog to play. He kept himself entertained for at least 2 hours.

Garret
It feels like a lifetime ago, since I did any pet sitting, but Garret's parents booked his pet sitting last winter, long before we had to stop our services. It has been nice to hang out with a cat again (other than Chewy of course!). Garret is a lot of fun. He is playful, friendly and cuddly. He also really likes his wet food. He kept running off to get a taste and then coming back to visit. But while he was visiting, he kept licking his lips to get every last morsel of food. I managed to catch this super cute picture of him with his tongue hanging out not once, but twice!

Expressions
I was sorting through some older photos and I came across a day that seemed to capture lots of different and amusing expressions. So forgive me if I posted some of these before, but they are back from the middle of June so I can no longer remember.
I don't kiss on the first date!
Agghh! They are all following me!
A spider? Where? Get it off! GET IT OFF!!
Look out Normie, she's gonna get us!

Funny Cat Video
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. It is long, but worth it. You have to hang in there long enough to at least see the cat yodelling.
The Wild Ones
Well, they were wild in the morning anyway...
Can you believe these three are actually all siblings? They were born into the Prairie Dog Canine Rescue. Their mom Sophie was rescued and put into a wonderful new home and they soon discovered that she was pregnant. (FYI - She got pregnant before she came into rescue, not after.) So Sophie's mom not only had a new dog to look after, she also had a litter of puppies to raise. You can see the original post on the Prairie Dog Blog here. I'm not sure who Paddy was as a pup (black one on left) but Izzy (brown one) and Logan (golden one) have the same names now as they did then.

Should I play?
Today is Izzy's first day of daycare. She is super cute, super friendly but a little unsure. She starts off quite timid around a new dog but then decides she wants to play and starts play-bowing like crazy. She actually takes the other dogs by surprise because it is a complete change from her behavior just moments before. She'll get the hang of things pretty soon!

A Year in Review
Just around the time of our one year anniversary, I discovered Blurb. It is a great little company that makes your photos, stories or blogs into books. So I took the first year of our blog and turned it into a book. It arrived in the mail yesterday and it looks fabulous. It is going to hang out on the desk for at least a little while if you want to look through it. If you'd prefer, you can browse a few of the pages on-line by clicking the image below.
We've already had a couple of people ask if it is for sale. You can buy it from Blurb if you want, we haven't marked the price up, but it will cost you around $70 including shipping... If you are interested in making your own books, they start at just $13.00 for a 40 page book.
