Walk for Guide Dogs- Success!

The Walk for Guide Dogs was great today- a little rainy but the none of the dogs seemed to care! Despite the cool, rainy weather there was a great turn out and more than 30,000 was raised!

Wendy is away this weekend so I apologize for the less-than-stellar photos, but thought you'd all appreciate an update anyway!

Guide Dog Walk

Just a reminder that the Purina Walk for Dog Guides is this Saturday at Nicholas Sharon Park. The walk starts at 11:00 a.m. and there is a BBQ to follow. We invite you all to come walk with us!!

Tiny Dog Kisses

Denny the Yorkie, and Maddie the French Bulldog cross are always full of licks and kisses!

We let the dogs into the "big yard" a few times a day. It is a huge area that they can really stretch out and run in. They LOVE it, and are always very excited to get to go out there. We make them work for it though! All the daycare dogs learn and understand gate manners- and the gate to the big yard is no different.

Patience and Good Manners are the only way to go through the gate.

The Hangover

This is Zack after an afternoon at daycare! This little guy is one of busiest dogs at daycare but crashes the second he gets home!


Daycare is exhausting for most dogs. Owners report that their pooch usually crashes the instant they get home, or even in the car. We thought it would be fun if you guys submitted a "Daycare Hangover" photo for the blog. All you have to do is have a camera handy when you get home from daycare and snap a photo when your dog settles in for a nap. I will post all the submissions next friday.

Well Loved...

the ball that is...

Izzy the beagle and Lola the minpin cross both love the Kong Ball- it is one of the few types of balls that we can have at daycare. The dogs here are pretty tough on toys and nothing lasts forever. The Kong ball has done pretty well though- one of the better ones for sure!

Seniority Rules

Rudy is one of the oldest dogs at daycare, and that means that he mostly gets what he wants. In most cases that means a ball.

Meet the new Girls!

Monday is one of our favorite days because it is "new dog day." We only allow new dogs to come on Mondays for a few reasons- and one of those is that it is a slower day of the week so we can spend more one on one time with them.

These two cuties came for the first time this past Monday and did pretty great!
