Check out this cool website! And I'm not just saying that because they've listed Paws on the Run Photography. :) I've been addicted to this site for a while and I follow many of the blogs of these photographers. So if you are interested in seeing lots of great pet pictures, check it out.
Paden is looking for a new home!
Paden, a fun loving chocolate lab, is just under 2 years old, fully vaccinated and neutered. He loves to swim, fetch and go for walks. He is eager to please and knows lots of fun tricks. He is great around dogs and cats and loves to play.
As Paden currently comes to daycare, you can see all the posts we've mentioned him in by clicking here.
Paden has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia but he has been coping quite well and has not been getting worse since he was diagnosed. Please talk to us for more information.
If you think you could provide Paden with a loving home please contact us for more information at 403-394-7780 or info@paws-on-the-run.ca
We usually only allow new dogs to come on Mondays and Tuesdays for their first visit because they tend to be our quieter days (20 something dogs, vs. 30 something dogs on busy days). But when Finn, a dog in one of Amanda's obedience classes called and asked if he could come today, Amanda said yes. She assured me he would be confident enough to handle the crowds.
She was right. From the moment he walked into the play area, he was playing. I don't think he even took 30 seconds to get his bearings, he just launched into it. It was quite amazing actually.
And to top it off, he didn't just make one friend and play for awhile, he played with almost every dog in the room. They all wanted to be his friend.
I tried to get some pictures of just Finn... not a chance. :)
Charlie prefers us to take pictures while sitting on the ground. That way he can cuddle on our laps. According to him, standing is a waste of time unless of course we hold him in our arms.
We are spending lots of time outside today, in preparation for the next couple of days when we know we won't want to set one foot out of the building. You gotta love Southern Alberta in the Spring!
What are you doing on Saturday, May 30? Why not join all of us from Paws on the Run on the Purina Walk for Guide Dogs. When you register to walk, you are making a commitment to help thousands of Canadians that require the assistance of a Dog Guide. If you can't make it on the walk, you can also make a difference by donating. Thanks to their generous sponsors, 100% of your donations go directly towards Lions Foundation of Canada and its Dog Guide programs.
We hope to see you out there!
Almost every time Pip comes to daycare, I try and get a picture of her. It isn't easy. She is low to the ground so it is hard to get down to her level and worst of all, she hates the camera. Often the moment she spots the camera she turns and heads back inside. Looking at the camera is way too much to ask. So I just have to be happy with what I can get.
Her short wrinkly little doxie legs...
I've been thinking about adding another service to Paws on the Run. After humming and hawing, and lots of second guessing, I've finally decided to add to our repertoire of services. So I'd like to officially announce the launch of Paws on the Run Photography!
If you book a photo session, it won't be done at the daycare. We'll either meet at your house, or at a dog park or any other location where your furry friends are comfortable. These will be candid photos of your pet having fun. That could be diving off a dock, playing fetch, racing through the fields or even just hanging out on the couch. You'll find a lot more information on the Photography Website so give it a look and let me know what you think.
If you are interested in a photo session, give us a call but our earliest appointment won't be until June 22 as I still have a few things to get settled before then.
And don't worry, we'll still be taking photos as usual of your pets at the daycare!
And stay tuned... we'll be announcing a contest soon on how you can win a free photo session!
This is Cooper. He is even cuter in real life. He is super fun, spunky and friendly.
Keara started off acting a little shy but after a few visits she is now all smiles.
