Taylor Made

Taylor is a very cute little pup (her last picture on the blog wasn't her most flattering!) that has just recently started coming to daycare. She reminds us a lot of little Ruby. Not only do they look similar (although Taylor is about 10 times bigger!), they have the same sasssy and friendly personality...oh yeah, and they both have pretty high pitched barks!

Impossible Angle

This just does not look comfortable! Brodie and Maggie Mae don't seem to mind it though.

Make it Stop!

Okay, so I might be getting a little carried away with taking pictures.

But look how cute she is. Could you resist?

Chewy thinks her 15 minutes of fame should end quickly!

Warning: Objects May Be Closer Than They Appear

So I had another photography class last night and I learned (among other things) that a wide angle lens will make close objects appear closer, and far objects appear farther. So I decided to practice on Atlas, the dog with the biggest nose. :)

Don't mind the drool...he had a drink in the middle of our photo shoot.

Mud Puddle anyone?

Maggie couldn't resist taking a run through the last remaining mud puddle. It is almost gone, but it is still big enough for a little girl like her!

Frisbee Fun

Neena was desperately trying to play tug of war with Maggie Mae but she was having trouble patiently waiting for Maggie to pick it up. At the end you'll see Coulee steals the frisbee only to drop it at my feet for me to throw. Tucker is the cattle dog expectantly waiting and Atlas is the great dane taking a break from all his racing around with Duke D. Maggie Brown, the daschund makes a brief walk through appearance. There is another short video of Tucker on our flickr site. He keeps looking down at the toy and back up to me as if to say "It is right there! Don't you see it? Look! Right there!"

Bear With Me

Ruby

So I started a photography course last night and we are supposed to stay on Manual setting from now on. You have no idea what that means to me! I've been on automatic for almost 3 years now but have been dying to know how to use my camera to its full potential. It will be good...in the long run anyway. For now, I am taking lots more pictures, with less success and I'm finding I'm editing the lighting on the computer more because I didn't have the setting right on the camera.

Rico

Good thing the dogs provide lots of photo opportunities! You'll notice a trend in all these photos...the dogs are stationary. I haven't quite mastered pictures of motion while on manual. But I have to admit, that is one of my favourites of Rico.
